A BAD BUSINESS - To all those who might consider using United Auto Movers from Beaver Falls, PA: Not long ago, I needed a car transport to pick up an antique car that I was looking at in Columbus, Ohio. I chose this company and was told that they would ship the car from Ohio to California for $1650.00 enclosed. A $150.00 deposit was required and the details were established and I flew to Columbus to look at the car. When the antique auto was not what I expected, I called United Auto Movers to cancel the contract three days before dispatch and Joe said that it was just fine and that I would give a refund for my deposit when I returned home. After waiting two weeks and making multiple phone calls and emails, no refund was given. I called my credit card company to file a dispute. Not only did United Auto Movers try to raise the price to ship the car, they had several days notice that I was not going to purchase the car! My bank and the bank that represents United Auto Movers both agreed that I had given proper notice to cancel the order. Now, because Joe - the owner - is mad that he lost his $150.00 deposit, he has called every carrier he could find to fill up my email and harass me on my telephone. Yes, over 125 car transports to waste their time and mine with his bogus transport details. I have now called the Beaver Falls Police Department, the Western PA Better Business Bureau and the City Administrators Office in my local area because it is against the law to use the internet or telephone services for harassment. Your actions are unwarranted, unprofessional and strictly against the law. I warned you in advance that if you did not refund my money as you should, I would leave a bad review. You originally said three times that you would send my refund and you did not… in fact you wouldn't even return my calls or emails. I still give this warning to anyone looking to ship a car: Check the reviews for United Auto Movers and make your own decision.
