Privacy notice
Last updated: October 13, 2026. This notice explains what information transportautoreviews.com, run by Transport Auto Reviews LLC, collects and what we do with it. In short: we collect what you type into our forms, we publish only the parts of a review that are meant to be public, and we don’t sell your information or show advertising trackers.
What we collect
When you write a review
- Published: the name you enter (a first name or initials is fine), your ratings, your review, the route, price, transit time and carrier type you report, and the date.
- Kept private: your email address and, if you give it, your order or booking number. We use them only to confirm a review is genuine or to contact you about it.
When you request quotes
- Published on your request page: the vehicle, whether it runs, open or enclosed transport, the pickup and delivery cities and states, the date it’s ready, and the prices companies send.
- Shown only to sponsoring companies: the pickup and delivery ZIP codes, if you give them, so they can price the trip.
- Kept private: your email address. We use it only to send you your private link and news about prices. Companies never see it.
When you use the contact form, add a company or claim a listing
The details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and message. These are seen only by our team.
Company accounts
Your username, login email and password. Passwords are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, so nobody, including us, can read them.
Technical information
- IP address: when you submit a form or sign in, we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, not the address itself. It is kept with reviews and requests to help spot duplicates and fake submissions; the records we use to limit repeated attempts are deleted after two days.
- Cookies: we set one cookie, and only when you use a form or sign in. It keeps your session and protects forms from forgery, and it expires when you close your browser. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
Services that handle data for us
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the site, so it processes your IP address and may set security cookies. If a form shows a “verify you’re human” check, that check is also run by Cloudflare.
- Google Fonts supplies the site’s typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when pages load.
- Our hosting provider stores the site, its database and the email it sends.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it with transport companies. We disclose information only when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
Reviews, with their private email and order number, are kept for as long as the review is on the site and for a reasonable time afterwards in case of disputes. Contact messages and listing requests are kept until we no longer need them. Company account details are kept until the login is removed.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove a review you wrote. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local law. Use our contact form, and send it from the email address the request relates to so we can confirm it’s you.
Children
The site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Security
The whole site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, passwords are hashed, and access to private information is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top.
