Legal notice and review disputes
This page explains how to raise a concern about something published on transportautoreviews.com, and how we handle legal requests. It is not legal advice.
Who writes the content
Reviews and ratings are written by people who say they used the company they are reviewing. Replies are written by the companies. Transport Auto Reviews LLC doesn’t write, pay for or change the substance of reviews; we read them before publishing to check they follow our review guidelines. Under U.S. federal law (47 U.S.C. § 230), a website is generally not treated as the publisher or speaker of content written by its users.
If you think a review is false
- Reply to it. If you represent the company, claim your listing and post a public reply giving your side. Readers see it directly under the review.
- Report it. If you believe the writer was not a customer, or the review breaks our guidelines, contact us with the review link and what your records show. We investigate every report.
- Contact the reviewer. If you resolve the problem, the reviewer can ask us to update or remove their review.
We remove reviews that break our guidelines. We don’t remove genuine reviews because they are negative, and we never accept payment to remove, change or reorder reviews.
Court orders and legal notices
If a court has found a specific review to be defamatory or otherwise unlawful, send us a copy of the order through our contact form with links to the content concerned. We comply with valid court orders. We review other legal notices carefully, but a demand letter alone does not lead us to remove a review.
We disclose information about a reviewer only when required by a valid subpoena or court order, or where the law otherwise requires it.
Copyright
If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, send a notice through our contact form that identifies the work, the content on our site (with links), your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
